Getting to Liverpool airport by car.
Liverpool airport is 7 miles South east of Liverpool city centre
on the Mersey estuary.
From the North / North-East
Depending upon which motorway is closest take the A1 or M6 southbound
to join with M62. Follow M62 West to junction 6 onto the A5300 to
the A561 and follow signs to the Airport, which is situated off
Speke Hall Avenue.
From the South West
Take the A1 or M1 northbound and either join M62 and follow instructions
for North/North East or M6 and instructions from the South East.
From the South / East
M6 northbound to junction 20 with M56. Follow M56 to junction
12 onto A557/A562 dual carriageway via to merge with A561. Follow
signs to the Airport, situated off Speke Hall Avenue.
From the Wirral / North Wales
Passengers travelling from Wirral may find it more convenient
at peak times to use the M53 and then the M56 (as instructions from
the South / East) rather than a route through the City Centre of
Liverpool via the Mersey Tunnels. Passengers travelling from North
Wales should join the A55 to connect with the M56 eastbound, and
then follow instructions as from the East.

By Rail
Liverpool airport has no rail link and the nearest stations are
Garston and Hunts Cross which then require either a bus or a taxi.
Liverpool Lime Street is the main connection for the National network
and buses to the airport operate from here to the airport.
Regrettably this is not the most convenient journey requiring reliance
on more than one connection and lots of luggage carrying.
By Bus
Please ensure you check with your local operator and any connecting
operator the start and finish times. Also consider that your return
flight may be delayed which could leave you stranded at the airport
overnight.
